Squishy Mystery Box Assortment Planner
A blind-box programme sells a series, not a piece. This mystery box planner lists the 25 tooled dumpling squishy designs we already hold moulds for, how they split into rarity tiers, and what a 12, 24 or 48-piece box looks like when you build it from real SKUs.
Why the tiers matter more than the pieces
A mystery box works when the buyer cannot predict which piece is inside and cannot complete the set in one go. A squishy mystery box needs three things: enough distinct designs, a visible difference between an ordinary piece and a special one, and packaging that hides the contents without hiding the brand. The designs below already carry that structure — the range includes pieces named as rare, ultra rare and treasure variants, which is what a chase tier is built from.
The family spans four textures, from crunchy TPR through to creamy silicone, so one box can vary by feel as well as by look — which is what keeps a buyer opening the next one.
Example box builds
Each build uses a 7 : 4 : 1 split of Common, Feature and Chase — roughly one chase piece per dozen.
12-piece box
7 Common · 4 Feature · 1 Chase
Drawn from 12 of the 22 single designs, so one box never completes the set — the gap is what brings the buyer back.
Split is a starting point. Tell us the ratio you want and we build to it.
24-piece box
14 Common · 8 Feature · 2 Chase
At 24 pieces the box covers the full 22-design run with duplicates, which is what makes it work as a counter-top refill or a swap-driven school promotion.

48-piece box
28 Common · 16 Feature · 4 Chase
At 48 pieces the box covers the full 22-design run with duplicates, which is what makes it work as a counter-top refill or a swap-driven school promotion.

The 25-design pool
Every design below has an existing mould, so samples ship without new tooling time. Textures available in this family: Creamy Silicone · Crunchy TPR · Slow-Rise PU Foam · Transparent Crystal.
Packaging tiers
The same assortment can ship three ways. The tier decides the shelf price band it can carry.

Bulk Single
Poly-bagged singles, 288 pcs/ctn

Mini Keychain
4 cm with keyring, 500 pcs/ctn

Jumbo
12–20 cm, 48 pcs/ctn
Compliance does not change because it is a box
Every piece inside still needs ASTM F963-23 testing, age grading and a CPC covering the batch you import. Blind packaging adds one extra question a buyer should ask: whether the age grading on the outer box matches the lowest-graded piece inside. The outer box grading has to match it. Squishies containing water beads are covered by 16 CFR 1250.4 — none of the designs above contain them.
Frequently asked questions
How many designs do I need before a mystery box makes sense?
Enough that a buyer cannot finish the set in one purchase. Our dumpling family alone has 25 tooled designs, which is why it is the shape family most often built into a blind-box programme.
Do I have to take the whole assortment?
No. Pick any designs from the table above. Mixed cartons are accepted, and the tier split is yours to set — 7:4:1 is a starting point, not a rule.
How do you price a mystery box?
Per piece, at the FOB tier your order qualifies for, plus the packaging tier you choose. The box itself is not priced separately. Send the designs and quantity and we quote it.
Is a mystery box a problem for US compliance?
The box does not change the rules that apply to the pieces inside. Every piece still needs ASTM F963-23 testing, correct age grading and a CPC. Squishies containing water beads fall under 16 CFR 1250.4 — ours contain none.
Can the outer box be private label?
Yes. The packaging tier decides how far that goes, from a plain printed box to a full retail display unit.
